7. Crown Princess Mette-Marit at the Wedding of Prince Willem-Alexander and Maxima Zorrieguieta
too much is a sartorial sin, then so is too little (hello, Letizia, am I right?). This event dates from the early stage of Mette-Marit's royal life, when things were dire indeed. No hairdressers, make up artists or stylists were in sight back in the day, and M-M had a tendency to dress starkly and perpetually under the occasion. This wedding ensemble was the lowest of the low; she's dressed like she's attending a memorial service, not a joyous nuptual celebration. Tremedously boring.
