Sunday Tidbits for May 8: State Visits Ahoy

I'm looking in my crystal ball (also known as the calendar) and I'm seeing tiaras in our future...

--We are in the thick of spring state visit season right now. This week, Luxembourg heads to Finland and Sweden welcomes Chile. Next week, Jordan visits Belgium. The week after that, Norway hosts Poland. Mexico's trip to the Netherlands scheduled for the end of May has unfortunately been postponed, but a visit from Sweden to Bhutan has been announced for June!

--And on that note, awwwww.

--We talked about one past royal attendee at the Met Gala this week, and here are the two present at this year's bash, Queen Rania and Charlotte Casiraghi. Quoth the Fug Girls, Charlotte "isn’t just being worn by this cracked out Gucci. She’s being dragged through the Met by it." [Go Fug Yourself]

--I tell you what, the Duchess of Cornwall knows how to live. First she hangs out with a bunch of legends at a reception for British Academy Award Winners while wearing some pricey new gems in malachite (and we've already covered them at the Vault), then she meets Tom Hiddleston. In response to silly stories that he broke royal protocol by putting his arm around Camilla (slow news week, eh? Between this and the earth-shattering news that the Queen gets bruises just like everyone else...), a Clarence House rep said, "I think she quite enjoyed it!" INDEED. [ITV, People]

--These little sparkleblergh dresses are Queen Máxima's jam right now. She repeated one for the Liberation Day concert this week. [Hello]

--Prince Henrik donned a spring green blazer and went for a ride at Tivoli, because what's royal retirement for, if not for that? [ParisMatch]

--Over at the Jewel Vault: A bright return to public engagements for the Queen, and a look at her special outfit for Princess Margaret's wedding.

--And finally, Prince Harry has hit the shores of the United States for the Invictus Games in Orlando - interviews, making friends with service dogs, the whole nine - and, well, let's just say he really knows his audience. [Celebuzz, People]

Sunday Tidbits is your place throughout the week to share things we haven't covered yet and for all your off topic chats. Enjoy!
