Royal Outfit Grab Bag of the Day: September 2

It's a holiday weekend, and we'll be back on Tuesday! In the mean time, let's do our second grab bag of the week and catch up with a few of our leading ladies...

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on a two day visit to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Hmm, maybe I should include our leading men in that intro - look at you, William, stringing together engagements without a blue suit in sight! I like it. Kate's in Lela Rose, and while you can't go wrong with a simple and elegant soft pink dress in my book, maybe you can under accessorize a bit.

Queen Mathilde accompanied Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, and Princess Eléonore to their first day of school.

Over in Belgium, Mathilde took the simple + elegant theme and adapted it for a queen + mom-on-the-go look. This really, really works for her.

Queen Máxima has been in Indonesia for her UN financial services role.

But we do need a little pep to finish out this grab bag, so Máxima, step right up! She's loading up on the patterns on this trip and not looking back. This is an Etro top and maxi skirt, and funnily enough, Crown Princess Mary just wore the same skirt while in Rio. I think stopping with the skirt, à la Mary, is the way to go. (Queen Máxima also brought back that Hawaii dress, because a) obviously, and b) gotta get it in one last time before the summer ends, I guess.)
