--Prince Oscar of Sweden turned one, and the royal family released a set of pictures that mimic the set released when big sister Princess Estelle turned one. They also mimic my own feelings when cake is involved.

--Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo welcomed their first child! Their baby boy is named Stefano Ercole Carlo, the first name in tribute to Pierre's late father. [Hola]
--Those bits of good news are followed by a round of less great health updates: Princess Alexandra of Kent cancelled engagements after breaking her wrist, and her brother, the Duke of Kent, was also forced to cancel some engagements due to illness. [Express]
--Meanwhile, the Swedish royal court announced that Princess Christina will undergo a stem cell transplant for her chronic leukemia. [SVT]
--Back to smiles now: the Dutch royal family took their turn on the ski slopes for their annual vacation photoshoot in Lech.
