Readers’ Favorite Outfits of 2018, Evening: Results, Part 2!

This is it, the last installment of the results from your favorite royal outfits of 2018 and the remainder of your top 10 favorites from the Evening Divison. Drumroll please...

#5. Princess Eugenie at her Wedding Reception in Zac Posen
Alex Bramall/Royal Family
Zac Posen's still dishing out little peeks at this dress on his Instagram, that's how much detail there is to absorb in this creation. Eugenie had a great year and I hope we see more royal looks from this designer in the future.

#4. The Duchess of Cambridge at the Diplomatic Reception in Jenny Packham
Embed from Getty Images
Kate's sparkly and floaty Jenny Packhams are all starting to run together for me, if I'm being honest. Not for many of you, though! Her last tiara offering for the year won her a spot in your top 5.

#3. Crown Princess Mary at the New Year’s Gala Banquet in Soeren Le Schmidt
Kongehuset
Mary got all three of her entries in this category into the top 10! I do believe that's a record. She captured #8, #6, and #3 - a reminder of the greatness she brings to the New Year's Gala.

#2. Queen Mathilde at the French State Banquet in Armani Privé
Elysee
It was a good year for royal Armani Privé, no? I couldn't agree with this pick more and landing both of her possible entries in the top 10 is a great result for Mathilde.

#1. Queen Máxima at the British/Dutch State Banquet in Jan Taminiau
Embed from Getty Images
Máxima and her main man Jan didn't just take the top spot, they absolutely ran away with it. Maybe it was the dress, maybe it was THE JEWELS, maybe it was the fact that it all went down at one of the year's most anticipated royal events - whatever the combination, this one wasn't even close. Máxima is by far your favorite evening look of 2018.

That's a wrap on the best of 2018! Thanks to everyone who played along. (And a reminder for those who will inevitably take the absence of their own favorites a bit too personally: this is just for fun. Lowest possible stakes here, friends.)

Readers’ Favorite Outfits of 2018, Day/Cocktail: Results, Part 2!

Yesterday, we counted down the first five from your top 10 favorite royal Day/Cocktail outfits. Now we move right along to your final five…

#5. Queen Máxima at the Appeltjes van Oranje Awards in Natan
Embed from Getty Images
Máxima’s worn this dress in a few ways. This year’s cocktail-style appearance with a big ol’ brooch and some good hair thrown in landed the #5 spot on your list.

#4. The Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace in Emilia Wickstead
Kensington Palace
A little bit of tartan, some snow machine action, and a well fit cardigan grabbed Kate a spot on your countdown.

#3. Beatrice Borromeo at Monaco’s National Day in Armani Privé
Embed from Getty Images
Chocolate velvet accents and a bit of couture made for one of the chicest winter hat outfits I’ve seen, and secured a princely spot on your countdown for Beatrice.

#2. The Duchess of Sussex in Australia in Oscar de la Renta
Embed from Getty Images
The comments were full of quibbles but none of that could stop Meghan’s fairy tale moment from swooping in as your second favorite of 2018.

#1. The Duchess of Cambridge at the V&A in Erdem

Whether you loved it for the swish or the fabric or the accessories or any other reason you please, the results are clear: Kate takes home the grand prize in your Day/Cocktail Division!

Did your picks make the cut?

Year in Review: Queen Máxima and Crown Princess Mary's 2018 Bests

Next up in our review of 2018's individual bests: two who brought their A-game for two of 2018's biggest royal events.

Queen Máxima in Jan Taminiau at the British State Banquet

This outfit is one of the only tmes I have quibbled with a cape, and yet the memory of this appearance with the Stuart Tiara at full blast is so strong I didn't even come up with any runners up from the evening category.

Runners up:

Crown Princess Mary in Lasse Spangenberg at Crown Prince Frederik's 50th Birthday
Keld Navntoft/Kongehuset
Detailed but delicate, Mary's tiered and lacy dress would definitely make my top 5 dresses of 2018 list. Near to the top. Princess perfect, as per usual.

Monday Tidbits for December 17: Holiday Cheer and Poll Results

More 2018 wrap up fun awaits us, but first, the results from last week's two polls and some of the usual holiday cheer:

--In the vote for your favorite 2018 tiara surprise, who rose to the top but the one and only Queen Máxima and her use of the Stuart Tiara! Máxima took home 47% of your votes, easily holding off your runner up with 34%, Princess Eugenie and the debut of the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara. Another big British tiara moment, the Duchess of Sussex in Queen Mary's Diamond Bandeau Tiara, took third place with 10% of your votes.

--Princess Eugenie missed her chance to take the tiara prize, but the love for her wedding look carried her to victory as your favorite 2018 royal wedding gown! Eugenie and her Peter Pilotto gown grabbed 49% of your votes. Meghan followed her with 31% of the tally, while Alessandra took 14% and Ayako nabbed the remaining 6%.

Year in Review: 2018’s Tiara Happenings

Yes, it’s time to begin wrapping up 2018. We’ll start with a round up of this year’s tiara happenings. It’s been an eventful year in diadems! There were quite a few developments beyond the royal tiaras we saw worn this year; tiaras were sold (Queen Alexandrine's Russian Sapphire Tiara, the whole Bourbon-Parma auction, and more), tiaras went on display (the trio of Fife tiaras at Kensington Palace!), and unfortunately, certain things also disappeared (shame on you, thieves of Swedish royal regalia and the Portland Tiara).

This year also gave us plenty of opportunities to see tiaras in action, from a big tiara’d up royal gathering (that marvelous festival of fringes at Frederik’s 50th birthday party) to wedding tiara surprises and more. You can scroll back through alllllll the tiara appearances we covered in 2018 here.

And those events produced some notable tiara happenings…

The Reappearances
Embed from Getty Images
Any 2018 tiara round up has to start with the reappearance of the Stuart Tiara, right?! Some of us have been waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for Queen Máxima to resurrect the biggest of all the Dutch big guns, unseen since Queen Juliana’s reign. She delivered twice: debuting a smaller version in Luxembourg and the whole monster in the United Kingdom.

BBC/ITV
Weddings brought even more reappearances – and, in the case of the British royal family, confirmation that two mysterious tiaras do indeed still exist in the vault: the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara (worn by Princess Eugenie) and Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau Tiara (worn by the Duchess of Sussex). Slightly outside of the royal realm, another wedding also gave us an opportunity to see the Spencer Tiara in action once again.

A New Tiara
DR1
Princess Marie’s tiara access finally increased in 2018, with the addition of the Nuits Claires Tiara courtesy of an arrangement with Mauboussin. It’s a rare treat to see a newly made tiara in action.

The Debuts
House of HM the King
Queen Letizia headlined last year’s tiara happenings by wearing the Fleur de Lys Tiara for the first time. She followed that up in short order by debuting the two other largest tiaras in the Spanish collection: the Cartier Diamond and Pearl Tiara and Queen Maria Christina’s Cartier Loop Tiara. Elsewhere, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie continued her run through the Luxembourg vaults by debuting the Chaumet Diamond and Pearl Choker Tiara.

What was your favorite tiara surprise of 2018?

Tiara Watch of the Day: More Sparkle in Sweden and the Netherlands

The Dutch and Swedish ladies are here to squeeze in the last tiara events of 2018, bless 'em.

The King and Queen of the Netherlands welcomed the President and first lady of Cape Verde to the Netherlands for a state visit on Monday, including a state banquet.
RVD
Queen Máxima continued her recent Claes Iversen streak with this burnt orange gown for the state banquet. This is the third time we've seen this dress and the second time with a tiara - to be honest, it would be neither my first pick for a triple repeat nor my first pick for one tiara appearance, let alone two. Máx clearly disagrees. Fair enough.

Embed from Getty Images
Anyway, she's provided ample distraction by loading herself up with the biggest diamonds worn in the most amusingly casual fashion. The Dutch Diamond Bandeau's tossed on like an afterthought (I mean, it's a good hairdo, this is just one of those times when she really is wearing it like any old headband, which I find hilarious). And she's continuing to find new-to-her treasures in the family vault; this mega brooch with a big fat yellow diamond in the center belonged to Queen Emma. The brooch was one of Queen Emma's wedding gifts, part of a set that also included the diamond rivière that was later made into the Diamond Bandeau. It's a diamond reunion!

Embed from Getty Images
We also have some Bonus Beatrix, yay. Princess Beatrix wore the Antique Pearl Tiara, a diadem I enjoy more each time we see it.

The Swedish royal family hosted the King's Dinner for Nobel laureates last night.
Meanwhile in Sweden: another killer red gown! This is a drop dead gorgeous moment for Crown Princess Victoria. She paired this fab dress with Princess Lilian's Laurel Wreath Tiara, one of a full diamond tiara line up for the ladies on this evening. (Including Princess Christina wearing the Six Button Tiara again, as you can see if you click through that gallery.)

Sara Friberg/Kungl. Hovstaterna
Princess Sofia's custom gown from Valerie by Valerie Aflalo was a bit fussy for my tastes (the sleeves, I blame the sleeves). Like most things, it could have been improved by an amethyst tiara - she was already wearing the earrings, bracelet, and brooch from Queen Josephine's Amethyst Parure. Swap out the all-diamond version of your Emerald and Diamond Tiara while you're at it, Sofia!

Sara Friberg/Kungl. Hovstaterna
Queen Silvia wore a pink Jacques Zehnder dress - itself a former Nobel ceremony selection - with a refreshing tiara choice: the Baden Fringe. We've seen her wear it in 2016, 2017, and now 2018. (And before that, obvs, this is just a seeming renewal of enthusiasm.) No one wears it like Crown Princess Victoria does, but I must say, I enjoy seeing other takes on it. Fringes (or amethysts) for everyone!

Royal Outfits of the Day: The Coats & Hats of Mathilde & Máxima

Queen Mathilde and Queen Máxima found themselves on the same wavelength last week. (As they do, like, every other week or so.) This particular wavelength is the check coat + accent color accessories one, a tried and true formula on which they each put their own spin.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited Germany last week.
Embed from Getty Images
Mathilde pulled a berry-licious shade out of her pattern and threw on a wide brim hat and matching purse, gloves, and shoes. That bit of swing on the coat? With that length? Yes, please.

Queen Máxima participated in the second day of the Singapore state visit last week.
Embed from Getty Images
Máxima was even more understated - inasmuch as we can call a big ol' olive hat understated, really. This one is much more attractive than anything I can call a big ol' olive hat has a right to be. I do love it.

Queen Máxima presented the Prince Bernhard Culture Foundation Award this week.
Embed from Getty Images
Nothing to do with coats and hats, but you didn't really think we were going to leave it at Máx's most understated look, did ya? Not content with her tulip field look from this Claes Iversen color scheme, she's ordered one with a few more trimmings for the festive season. I wouldn't recommend this piñata look to anyone else on our regular rounds, but I don't know. I think she's pulling it off.

Tiara Watch of the Day: The Netherlands/Singapore State Banquet

Hey-o, some more tiaras before we skedaddle for the holiday! I'm not even going to fuss with the day stuff, I'm cutting right to the sparkly bit:

The Dutch royal family hosted a state banquet for the President of Singapore and her husband on the first day of their state visit to the Netherlands.
RVD
So Queen Máxima is really into these oversized belt outfits by Claes Iversen: we also saw them at the Liberation Day Concert and during the British state visit. I'm not sold on a belt buckle this big for a tiara-level occasion, though. But I will take all the single sleeve interest I can get.

Embed from Getty Images
Máx accessorized her berry palette with rubies and diamonds. We saw her chose the Ruby Peacock Tiara for a black tie banquet in Canada and it works in the same context here, at an evening where the ladies left the sashes at home. The rubies and diamonds echo the red and white in the flag of Singapore - although rubies are a popular choice for Máxima anyway, no reason needed. I like the Peacock on her a lot; it is, I would say, among the most festive jewels in the Dutch collection. And Máx, you know, is a festive gal.

Embed from Getty Images
More tiaras were on hand! Princess Beatrix chose her favorite, Queen Emma's Diamond Tiara. Throw on a diamond rivière, a sprinkling of diamond stars, a purple dress (and some purple eye shadow, bless her), and you're good to go.

Embed from Getty Images
Princess Margriet pulled another tiara from the smaller end of the family vault for the evening's festivities: the Dutch Emerald Parure Tiara. This one really suits her - kind of a pointless thing to say because I can't recall a tiara that doesn't suit Margriet - but her hair backs up the taller top point of this one nicely anyway.

Princess Laurentien was there, too; you can spot her towards the beginning of this video shared by Rick Evers. She wore the Dutch Aquamarine Tiara. (Worth your time to watch the sparkle in action here, by the way.)

And that's that! Enjoy your Thanksgiving, if you're celebrating. We'll see you back here on Tuesday.

Monday Tidbits for November 19: Weddings and Tiaras Ahoy

Tiara sightings right now and (hopefully) in the wedding-related future:

--The Greek royal family announced the engagement of Princess Theodora, daughter of King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie, and Matthew Kumar. The Princess is an actress (as Theodora Greece) on The Bold and the Beautiful and her fiancé is a lawyer in Los Angeles. Theodora will be the last of Queen Ingrid of Denmark's granddaughters to marry; all the rest have continued the family tradition of wearing the Khedive of Egypt Tiara with the family's antique wedding veil on their wedding days.

--Zac Posen posted a few more pictures of the custom gown he made for Princess Eugenie at her evening wedding reception: the back before the York rose/wheat ear embroidery was added, and the waistline. [Instagram]

--The Belgian royal household posted a new set of portraits of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde. Queen Mathilde is wearing a repeated Armani Privé gown and the full Nine Provinces Tiara. [Photos: Royal Palace]

--Over at the Jewel Vault: We covered Charles' birthday party, of course, and you can scan the comments for pictures of guests that have been added since the day. And then QEII teamed up with King Harald for an engagement since he was in town and all.

--A tiara sighting last week in the United States! Princess Margriet continued her tradition of bringing something sparkly from the Dutch family vaults with her to attend the annual Peter Stuyvesant Ball in New York City. She wore the diamond base of the Antique Pearl Tiara, without the pearls on top. [Telegraaf]

--And finally, there's a new picture special for Prince Charles' birthday with photos by Chris Jackson, including this precious moment with Prince Louis.

Coming up this week: Um, a whole lot. Monaco's National Day, a state visit in Belgium, and the Sussexes at the Royal Variety Performance - that's all happening today - plus a state visit to the Netherlands later in the week. We'll do our best to get to it all...

Tuesday Tidbits for October 30: Tiara Follow Ups and Other Stuff

To ease your tiara hangover after last week's splendor, some follow ups and other notes:

--Charlotte Casiraghi and her fiancé, Dimitri Rassam, welcomed a baby boy last week! The official announcement from Princess Caroline's office didn't mention a name, but it's being widely reported the little one is called Balthazar. The birth of Charlotte's second son finishes off the 2018 Casiraghi baby boom, in which Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo welcomed their third child (also a boy) in April, and Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo welcomed their second (another boy!) in May.

--Tiara follow up #1: Rick Evers asked Queen Máxima about the reappearance of the Stuart Tiara at the British state banquet. Among her comments were a note that she'd like to wear it more often in the future, and that it didn't give her a headache. I'm certainly ready to see it more. (Use the subtitles on the video below for a translation.)

--Tiara follow up #2: This link was in the comments on our Danish tiara event post last week, but if you didn't see it, it's a bit of fairy tale worth your time. It's video of Queen Margrethe and her guests dancing Les Lanciers quadrille. [YouTube]

--This is sad: Queen Elizabeth's last corgi, Whisper, has died, according to reports. She still has two dorgis, Candy and Vulcan. [Town & Country]

--And finally, over at the Jewel Vault, we finished out the Dutch/British state visit and also the Duchess of Cornwall had a second MAJOR diamond appearance for the week.
Clarence House

Coming up this week: A tiara and a wedding in Japan, and more...

Breaking Jewel News: Máxima Wears the Full Stuart Tiara, Kate in a New Loan and an Order, and More British/Dutch State Banquet Surprises

Máxima makes breaking news with the same tiara twice in one year and THAT’S NOT EVEN ALL. What an event. (As ever, click the individual jewel names for more info!)

Embed from Getty Images
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima started their state visit to the United Kingdom today; you can find the day events covered in full at the Vault. Part of the Dutch couple’s day agenda included a stop at Westminster Abbey, where they paid their respects at the graves of King William III and Queen Mary II. William and Mary were owners of the Stuart Diamond, the magnificent 40-carat pear-shaped rose-cut diamond that features in the center of the Stuart Tiara.

Embed from Getty Images
So what else was Queen Máxima going to wear for the evening’s state banquet?! Of course she had to debut that big blue-gray stone. The complete Stuart Tiara hasn’t been worn since the reign of Queen Juliana. Máxima debuted a smaller setting of the tiara, without the showpiece Stuart stone, earlier this year in Luxembourg. She also wore the large “House Diamond” stomacher/brooch and the diamond earrings that belong with the set of jewels Juliana regularly wore with the Stuart. Her dress is Jan Taminiau. This might be the first time I'm saying this, but: I want her to lose the cape.

Embed from Getty Images
Other surprises abounded! For Queen Elizabeth II, a favorite set of jewels – the Girls of Great Britain & Ireland Tiara with the George VI Festoon Necklace – was joined by a rarer pick: the Cullinan III and IV Brooch. The Cullinan Diamond was cut by Asscher in Amsterdam, so that’s no random choice. (You can find a deeper dive on the Queen's jewels at the Vault, here.) The Duchess of Cornwall was in her usual Greville Tiara, though she did pep up her entirely white ensemble with the Pink Topaz Choker.

Screencap
(Order check: King Willem-Alexander wore the Order of the Garter, given to him today by QEII. QEII wore the Order of the Netherlands Lion. The Prince of Wales wore the Dutch Order of the Crown. Orders weren't exchanged for Máxima or Camilla, so they wore their usuals: Netherlands Lion and the Royal Victorian Order.)

Embed from Getty Images
The Duchess of Cambridge loaded up on the surprises. With the Lover’s Knot Tiara and Diana’s Collingwood Pearl and Diamond Earrings, she wore a new necklace loan from the Queen: Queen Alexandra’s Wedding Necklace. It was a favorite of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and hasn’t been seen since the Queen inherited it. Makes a gorgeous assembled parure all together, no?

Embed from Getty Images
Kate also wore something many of you have been seeking for years: the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II. We only know when this order has been awarded after we see it in use, as we are seeing here on her blue Alexander McQueen gown. Apparently, it is in fact the second time she’s wearing it, after debuting it at December’s Diplomatic Reception. Whereas other examples of this brooch include ivory, the Duchess of Cambridge’s uses glass. (William is against ivory.)

Embed from Getty Images
Princess Mabel of Orange-Nassau, sister-in-law of King Willem-Alexander, was invited to the banquet; she is London-based. She is wearing the Dutch Sapphire Necklace Tiara, which is a first for her.

Captured on their way to the banquet, it's the Cartier Indian Tiara for the Duchess of Gloucester and the Kent Festoon Tiara for Princess Michael of Kent, who was also wearing quite a collection of aquamarines:

The Countess of Wessex was in aquamarines as well, with an Emilia Wickstead dress and the Five Aquamarine Tiara. The Princess Royal attended in a light blue dress.

Royal Outfit Grab Bag of the Day: Máxima, Victoria, Rania, Charlene

Checking in with a few other leading ladies before we head back to Sussexland...

Embed from Getty Images
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima visited Zeeland this week.
Shockingly enough, Máxima has been up to a bunch of hats and bright colors. (Warming up for her state visit to the UK next week, I hope.) This skirt reminds me of aerial photos of tulip fields. Claes Iversen shared a little Instagram look at these skirts from his Spring/Summer 2017 collection and how they're made. Very delicate and detailed.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited Jordan, where they were received by King Abdullah and Queen Rania. The Swedish couple are also visiting Lebanon.
Royal Hashemite Court
Is it possible to avoid overdoing the design details on a dress by simply overloading it so much that your eyes have no choice but to gloss over some of the fussier bits? Victoria's dress is an experiment seeking an answer. (Mermaid scales. That's all I can get from this whole thing.) She does end up sort of pleasingly color-coordinated with Queen Rania's Ralph & Russo ensemble, though.

Embed from Getty Images
Princess Charlene attended the 2018 Princess Grace Awards Gala.
Charlene doesn't do the big toothy grin thing in posed photos (which is her prerogative! I'm over people demanding smiles at all times) - and you don't even need one here to tell that she's quite pleased with her sassy Ralph Lauren evening suit. Blazers slung over the shoulders remain on my pet peeves list, but if there's someone who can pull this look off, it's Char.

Tuesday Tidbits for October 9: Upcoming Event and Exhibition Details

More details on three of October's biggest royal events, plus some exhibitions worth checking out:

--Princess Eugenie marries Jack Brooksbank on Friday! The wedding at St. George's Chapel, Windsor, begins at 11 am and will be televised. (Here's a time zone converter.) In the UK, it will air on ITV start at 9:25 am and run through 12:30 pm. In the US, TLC will broadcast starting at 4:25 am Eastern and encoring at 7:25 am Eastern/Pacific. (The wedding starts at 6 am Eastern.) It will be able to stream on the TLC Go app after the broadcast. The royal family also released a bunch of extra details about the wedding over the weekend. We will cover the festivities here. (But please, for those looking to discuss the York wedding, read the note at the bottom of this post.) [Twitter]

--Details for the Dutch state visit to the United Kingdom were released yesterday. The state visit happens on October 23rd and 24th. The state banquet will be held on day one and it will be the only evening event. It will be a centerpiece of the "Russia, Royalty & The Romanovs" exhibition at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace. The display starts on November 9 and runs through April 28, 2019. --An itinerary for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's visit to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand was released last week. They'll be on tour October 16-31. [Royal Family]

--Over at the Jewel Vault, the Queen's time at Balmoral is drawing to a close.

--And finally, exhibition heads up #2: San Francisco, you have an opportunity to see some of the exquisite couture of Sheikha Mozah in person. "Contemporary Muslim Fashions" at the de Young Museum includes four outfits from the sheikha. It runs through January 6. [Hollywood Reporter]

A note regarding the upcoming York wedding: For weeks, whether or not Princess Eugenie should have a televised wedding with this much "to-do" has been a topic of discussion in the comments. That issue is no longer up for discussion on this blog. Unfortunately, it has turned into a dumping ground for those who don't care for the people in this branch of the family - and those sorts of comments are against our comment policy. Thank you for helping keep this a pleasant place to be.

Royal Outfit of the Day: Máxima Wants in on the Green Trend

How long do you think we can keep this little green week thing going, hmm?

Queen Máxima visited Utrecht on Friday.
Embed from Getty Images
Queen Máxima made sure to get in her contribution before the week ended, in a repeated green lace dress with a big green hat (of course), green shoes (of course), and a green bag (of course). In spite of my continued general objection to the constant matchiness, I'm tempted to say that this is one of the stars of green week.

Then again, throwing in a hefty dose of emeralds and diamonds from the family vaults never hurts.

Royal Event of the Day: Dutch Royals at Prinsjesdag 2018

Get your hats ready, it's Prinsjesdag time! King Willem-Alexander addresses the government every September, reading a speech from the throne detailing plans for the coming session; he's accompanied by Queen Máxima, Prince Constantijn, and Princess Laurentien. For those not familiar, this event features a dress code that was popular for big royal events many years ago but which has become increasingly rare: long dresses, orders, and hats for the ladies. No tiaras because this is a day event.

Embed from Getty Images
Queen Máxima goes all out for Prinsjesdag with a special outfit. This year's outfit is...

NOS screencap
...well, it's impressive, really...

Embed from Getty Images
...because I would not have thought...

Louisa Beccaria Iridescent Multicolor Georgette Long Dress, per ModeKoninginMaxima
...that a candidate for my least favorite Máxima Prinsjesdag outfit ever would be so...bland, honestly?

Embed from Getty Images
It's too much and not enough for me. There's so much happening in the overly vertical hat with unrelated feathers and the fussy neck and sleeves, but underneath it all is a muted pastel color blocking thing that just doesn't do much. Suffice it to say, I won't be remembering this year's edition when it comes time for the bests of 2018.

Embed from Getty Images
Princess Laurentien opted for a tried-and-true combination for this sort of dress code: the long jacket over a matching sleek long dress. Very elegant! And I need hardly tell you that she picks up multiple bonus points for highlighting an accent color from the fabric with her purse and shoes.

NOS screencap
Also, nice beard, Prince Constantijn.
